Your Time In The Airplane

60

minutes in the airplane.
Exactly that, every time.

Your visit, start to finish · about 2 hours

  • Check-in, then a briefing of about 5 min
  • Walk-around with your instructor
  • In the airplane, 60 min
  • Logbook and wrap-up

Sixty minutes over Los Angeles after dark for two people, with one of you flying. One passenger sits in the left seat with hands on the controls and a certificated flight instructor beside them, and the second rides along with a headset and the same view.

After dark the city reads as pure light: the San Fernando Valley running out to the mountains, the freeways drawn in white and red, the black gap of the Santa Monica Mountains, and downtown standing up out of the grid beyond it. Runway lights at Van Nuys are visible from miles out on the way home, and the approach over a lit field is the part most people talk about afterwards.

A night departure and a lit-runway return take more aircraft and instructor time than a daytime flight, which is why this booking runs about $100 above the equivalent day flight.
